Roles

The role of Depot Rhodesia Artillery (Dep RhA) is to train members, posted to the Rhodesian Artillery to a standard which will enable them to assume duty as trained members of the 1Field Regiment (1 Fd Regt).

The roles of 1 Fd Regt are to train for, and be prepared to take part in the following types of operaions in Rhodesia.

a. Close artillery support of infantry units ooperating in classical war or COIN operations.

b. ISOPS, urban and rural operations in the infantry role.
